DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT WILL TAKE IN 2010 TO BE HIGHLY COMPETITIVE IN TODAY’S JOB MARKET?
After attending this workshop, you will!!
This evening workshop is devoted to exchanging ideas on how career-minded professionals at all levels can best manage their careers and prepare themselves for job transitions or advancement during these tough economic times.
This interactive and participatory workshop will focus on three of the most important tools that todays successful professionals need to have in their tool kits:
1. Self Awareness — assessing one’s strengths and developmental areas are essential components of personal development. When you fully understand your own personality and behavioral style, you can change jobs more easily for two reasons: you will know exactly what kind of job suits you, and you can more accurately and confidently describe yourself to potential employers.
2. Self Branding — If you are embarking on a job search or seeking to advance in your industry, you are engaging in self-marketing, and the product is YOU! The quality of your packaging career portfolio, resume, or professional pitch can dramatically impact your success.
3. Networking — People often network at meetings, socials, in between business meetings, and during lunch or coffee breaks. Properly executed networking techniques can have a very successful impact. However, it is critically important to realize that effective networking is not simply conversing about all the points you want to convey about yourself. You’ll also learn the nuances of social networking as a strategic part of managing your career.
