Here’s what you need to know for Texas Chili Cook-Off:
What time should I arrive? The Chili Cook-off starts at 12:00PM and doors will open just a few minutes before then.
How do I get there? Pier 84 is located at 555 12th Avenue, and is accessible from 44th Street. To enter the venue, cross the Hudson River Greenway and visit the check-in area by the Water Taxi. Pier 84 is immediately south of the Intrepid Sea Air & Space Museum. When you see an aircraft carrier, you are close.
How do I get in? When you purchased your Chili Cook-off ticket through Ticketfly, you had two options… Print at Home or Mobile Ticket. Just like any concert or sporting event you have been to, you will be required to show and scan your ticket for entrance to this year’s event. Make sure to bring a valid photo ID as well. Please note, tickets can only be scanned once and will deactivate after scanning so make sure to get a wristband upon entering. Questions about your tickets? Contact Ticketfly Customer Service.
What happens if it rains? The Chili Cook-off is a rain or shine event. The chili and the beer are under covered tents, so we will keep the party going! If you leave the event, your ticket will not re-scan to let you in, so please make sure to keep your wristband on.
What if my friend needs a ticket? Good news! We still have a few tickets left. Click here to purchase, and we will also have tickets to buy day-of. All proceeds of the Chili Cook-off benefit the Texas Exes New York Chapter scholarship.
Are children allowed at the event? Yep, they sure are! Kids under 15 are just $20 and kids under 9 get in free, so bring the entire family.
What should I plan on bringing? Make sure you have your ticket whether printed at home or on your mobile device. You can also bring blankets to enjoy the grassy area on the pier, and you may want to consider grabbing a poncho in the case of inclement weather.
Will I have the best time ever? Yes! Just make sure to come prepared to have fun, and we will take care of the rest, including providing you with Texas-brewed Shiner Beer, Riunite Lambrusco wine, and the amazingly talented band, The Barnstorm. Any other questions? Contact us.
See y’all 5/16!
