What: The American Red Cross Presents Gatsby on The Green Croquet & Cocktails featuring a vintage car show and honoring Sally Phipps, a long-time Southampton resident, for years of dedication and support to the Red Cross with the prestigious Red Cross Hero Award.
As guests enter The Green under the majestic London Plane trees of Olde Towne, they will be harkened to simpler times long ago. Arriving guests will be greeted with a variety of beverages and tasty foods from the era such as pimms cups, mint juleps and tea sandwiches. Several croquet courts will be available for guests, staffed by professional players to demonstrate and assist in the games.
A special display of classic and vintage cars, many from the Gatsby era, will surround the Green for guests to admire. J. McLaughlin has exclusively created and donated boat neck sailor shirts with Red Cross logos for the wait staff and volunteers as well as a limited edition canvas tote for the gift bag.
