Unity Foundation was founded in 1976, during the 200th Anniversary of the Founding of the United States. The foundation
celebrated this historic occasion with the production of New Age Bio-Centennial Unity Fairs, bringing together 75 of the political, environmental, spiritual and community organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area to celebrate the country’s 200th Anniversary.
The term Bio-Centennial was coined by environmentalist Keith Lampe AKA “Ponderosa Pine” to recognize the 200th Anniversary of the peoples of the United States as well as the glorious environment of our beloved country.
