Compassion in Medicine
Celebs Invite Sag Harbor Community to Event in Famed Sculptors Gallery & Garden

Actor Alec Baldwin, of the hit television show 30 Rock, and celebrated sculptor Dorothy Frankel helped the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) celebrate 25 years of compassionate medicine. Joining this benefit was PCRM president Neal Barnard, M.D., PCRM director of public affairs Elizabeth Kucinich, supporters and friends.
Opening the Doors to Compassion, a benefit for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, supported PCRMs efforts to promote disease prevention through a plant-based diet and higher ethical standards in medical training, testing, and education, and was held on August 7, 2010. Guests at Opening the Doors to Compassion were treated to delicious gourmet vegan hors doeuvres, a cocktail reception and brief program. They were also invited to explore Dorothy Frankels eclectic array of clay, bronze, acrylic, stone, and steel sculpturesmany of them award winningat her Sag Harbor home and garden.
