As a former school nurse and now as Executive Director of the National Association of School Nurses, Donna has emphasized the importance of up-to-date immunizations for students, but it’s also important for their families, including adult family members.
It’s the holiday season, a time when families and friends get together and celebrate. Given the time of year and holiday gatherings, you and your loved ones could be in close contact with other people and become exposed to vaccine-preventable diseases, or spread them yourself. Take advantage of the holiday break to check with your healthcare provider to make sure you and your family are up-to-date on your vaccinations to help stay healthy.
