One thing I have always wanted to do was experience a “flying trapeze”. When I think of it, I am reminded of an article I read many years ago called Fear of Transformation from the book of Essenes. To paraphrase, most of us spend our lives hanging on for dear life to the old until something calls us to let go and take a leap of faith into the unknown. It can be terrifying, yet we know we must release our hold on the past (the old trapeze bar) and soar across the vast void of unknowing to reach the new one.
