Through a combination of activities and workshop exercises, guest presentations and engaging discussions, the eGirl Power Pow Wow empowers high school girls to:
• build confidence and self-esteem
• gain self-awareness of their personal strengths
• identify and develop leadership characteristics

eGirl Power is a program of Project Pay It Forward, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
The Pow Wow Workshop is led by Joyce Kong, a Board Member of the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and a Founding Faculty of Millennium High School. Special Guest Speakers will be on site to offer guidance and advice to workshop attendees.

JOYCE KONG
Joyce Kong is a Founding Faculty of Millennium High School, NYC Department of Education. She has taught students in Pre-K through 12 in New York City Public Schools since 2000. Kong was instrumental in guiding her students to kickstart the Battery Urban Farm program at The Battery Conservancy. Kong is an Adjunct Professor at PACE University, a Teacher Fellow of the Pace University STEM Center Collaboratory, and a 2013 Math for America Master Teacher. Kong received a BA in biology and MA in science education from New York University.
