And traps the shells with gentle care
It soothes my soul with sounds like lotion
Entraps my sight with just a glare
The wind surrounds me like a shadow
Which follows me until I run
Waves its goodbyes with flocks of seagulls
And circles round just like the sun
The sky surrounds me with its calmness
As though the clouds are friends to me
I gaze to find one cloud a goddess
I blink to find a bumble bee
The sand a golden field of pebbles
Which slightly hold and dress my feet
The air is full of sounds and feathers
Which land around me in defeat
This fantasy without which I would sadden
Which haunts me like a friendly ghost
Because of which I smile and close my eyelids
To find myself inside a mansion as a friendly host
Angelina Dorf is a woman with word visions – a unique ability to personify her surroundings in a unique form of wordplay. Bringing her poetry to us in a style only limited by the perception of the reader, Angelina has captured the true essence of a modern day poet with a classic sense of wonder and astute observations, encased in a diamond-faceted vase of love poems as beautiful as dew-drenched flowers in the mist of a summer sunset’s burnt-orange bloom.
Originally from Moldova, a beautiful town in the former Soviet Union, Angelina came to America as she was turning 11 to find a new land full of color and dreams. Inspired by her global journeys in her past to all the new sensations of a vibrant country with unlimited possibilities, Angelina continued her sojourn to create tantalizing poems of love conceived by her powerful and sensitive talent she explores in the depths of her Soul.
